Objective

The objective of this prototype was to demonstrate how content can be updated without the need of an animator. The prototype aimed to show how data can be pulled from various API's, converted to an After Effects compatible format, and used to drive the animation, allowing for near real-time updates and keeping an audience informed and engaged.

Execution

The prototype prototype consisted of four separate screens and was developed using a combination of design, animation, and code. The data was first pulled from box office and music chart API's and converted to an After Effects compatible format. The animation was then created using After Effects and linked to the data, allowing for dynamic updates. Updates could be set to happen weekly, daily hourly or even within a few minutes.

Results

The prototype was a successful demonstration of how design, animation, and code can be combined to create a dynamic and engaging experience for an audience while reducing the need to consistently go back to an animator for updates.
